GBC 6550x High Security Office Shredder 6550X

The GBC ShredMaster Production Model 6550x Cross Cut Commercial Shredder is ideal for high volume usage (20 or more users), the 6550x Shredder effortlessly shreds up to 26 sheets into 3/16" x 2 3/8" chips. It includes a high quality, powerful continuous-duty motor and a solid one piece cutting head that easily shreds staples and paper clips. Multi-functional control panel with visual indicators help keep operator informed (Power On, Bag Full, Overload, Door Ajar, Bag-full Shut Off, Auto Stop On Jam and Auto On/Off). The ShredMaster 6550x features an extra large 55 gallon shred bin that requires fewer bag changes, a protective shield to help keep fingers away from shredding area and castors on the bin to provide easy mobility.

This model offers greater security and bulk reduction than the Strip Cut 6500S, but has many of its same capabilities. The funneled 16" wide throat allows for all types of shredding operations from standard office documents up to EDP size/computer paper. It is equipped with GBCs Jam-Stopper electronics: bag-full sensor shuts machine off before jams, automatic stop eliminates motor wear and tear, and indicator light informs the operator when waste bin is full. The Automatic Shut Off feature is triggered once the Cabinet Door is opened. GBC ShredMaster Production Shredders are built for years of reliable service and are backed by a complete Three (3) Year manufacturer warranty, with lifetime on cutting heads.

    GBC, Ibico, Ingento, and Quartet offer warranties against defects in materials and workmanship on certain products. Not all products are covered by warranty. What is covered and the time limitations of the warranties vary by product. BINDERS and LAMINATORS: GBC and Ibico have a one (1) year warranty. GBC COVERS, POUCH LAMINATORS, Quartet products such as EASELS are not covered by warranty but under certain circumstances they will be replaced by the manufacturer. SHREDDERS: Entry level shredders to the 1130 carry a one (1) year warranty with technical service available after you are" Out of Warranty." The 2230 up to the 7000 series SHREDDERS have a three (3) year warranty and a seven (7) year warranty on the cutters. PUNCHES: Have a one (1) year warranty. While a product is "In Warranty" parts and labor are covered. If a product is "Out of Warranty" GBC will refer the customer to a service center.
