Martin Yale Style J 1" Drill Bit - 1/4" (WSJ14000)
Style J 1" Drill Bit with 1/4" diameter by Martin Yale is a Hollow Paper Drill Bit with a 1" paper drilling capacity and a 1/4" diameter size for Martin Yale 101 Paper Drills. Style J Drill Bits are also available in 5/32" and 9/32" diameter sizes, and diamonized 5/32", 1/4" and 9/32" diameter sizes.
An assortment of Paper Drill Bits in various styles and diameters is also available: Style A - 2-1/4 Inch Hollow Paper Drill Bits, diameter sizes - 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", also Style A - 2-1/2" Drill Bits, diameter sizes, 1/4", 3/8", 5/16".

Some Pointers and Tips on Drilling: USE A SHARP DRILL BIT AT ALL TIMES. Generally, a Drill Bit can be used for approximately four (4) hours of use before it needs to be sharpened. Apply light pressure when sharpening. Too much pressure may cause flaring of the tip which renders the Bit unusable. Drill Sharpeners are available and are recommended with purchase along with an extra drill bit.
Keep Paper Drill bits clean. Clogging is a cause of broken bits. This commonly occurs when drilling through books bound with glue. Cleaning the interior surface of the bit after a shift change or break will ensure the Bit does not snap. Be sure to clean out bits after each use, and when not in use Bit can be lightly oiled to prevent rust and corrosion.
Sharpening stones are also recommended to debur the outside cutting edge of the drill bits for better performance. Finally purchase drill blocks to stop the drill bit after it penetrates the drilled material. |
